TERRALUZ is an intimate duo from Tilburg: Portuguese vocalist Ema Lucas and Chilean guitarist Andrés Hühner Paulsen. They weave fado, South American and Lusophone folk together with jazz and modern acoustic colours, in a repertoire sung in Portuguese, Spanish and English.

TERRALUZ is an intimate duo that celebrates the power of music to cross borders and connect people. Vocalist Ema Lucas and guitarist Andrés Hühner draw on the rhythms and poetry of their roots, weaving fado, South American and Lusophone folk with modern acoustic colour.

With a warm, open stage presence and a repertoire in Portuguese, Spanish and English, they create an atmosphere that is at once personal and universal — intimate, honest and deeply resonant.

Ema Lucas is a Portuguese vocalist, musician and educator based in the Netherlands. Her musical path has always been shaped by curiosity and versatility, moving naturally between the worlds of classical music, jazz and contemporary music.

Originally trained as a classical clarinetist, Ema completed her Bachelor's degree at the Royal Conservatoire of Antwerp before continuing her studies in the Netherlands. After beginning a Master's in Classical Clarinet, her growing connection with singing led her in a new direction, culminating in a Master's degree in Jazz Vocals at Fontys Academy of the Arts in Tilburg.

Today, voice is at the centre of her artistic work. As a singer, Ema is drawn to storytelling, expression and genuine connection, approaching music with both the sensitivity of a vocalist and the broader perspective of an instrumentalist. Her Portuguese roots remain an important part of her musical identity, alongside the many influences she has gathered from living, studying and performing across different countries and musical environments.

Alongside performing, Ema is passionate about sharing music with others. She has several years of experience as a music educator and currently works as a vocal and clarinet teacher, as well as a choir conductor. Whether performing on stage, leading a group or working individually with a student, she believes music should be a space for freedom, communication and discovering your own voice.

Andrés Hühner Paulsen is a Chilean-born, Tilburg-based guitarist, bassist and vocalist known for his warm energy, open vibe and effortless musicality. Andrés brings a balanced mix of technical skill and a relaxed, natural groove to the stage.

His music revolves around a deep love for the warm sounds of South American guitar, solid basslines and smooth vocal arrangements. Drawing from a wide range of musical styles and traditions, he easily adapts whether playing an intimate acoustic setup or performing in a full live set.

For Andrés, it's all about good vibes, authentic storytelling and creating a genuine connection with the audience. Whether he's laying down a warm bass groove or picking up the guitar, he brings an inviting, down-to-earth elegance to every performance.
