Who we are

TERRALUZ is the duo of Ema Lucas and Andrés Hühner Paulsen, based in Tilburg, the Netherlands. We are responsible for the data that reaches us through this site. Questions about it? Email terraluz.music@gmail.com.

What we record

Every visit puts one line in a log file on our server: your IP address, the time, the page you asked for, the page you came from and which browser you use. That comes with running a web server; we use it to spot faults and abuse.

When you fill in the booking form we receive your name, email address and message, plus the occasion, date and location as far as you provide them.

Each submission also adds a line to a second log file, with your email address, your IP address and the time. It lets us confirm that an enquiry actually went out, and it lets the server count how many enquiries come from the same address, so spam cannot flood the form.

Our legal basis

We use the details from the form only to answer your enquiry. The basis for that is taking steps at your request before entering into a possible agreement.

For the server logs and the visitor counts we rely on our legitimate interest in keeping the site running and usable and in preventing abuse.

We make no automated decisions about you and build no profiles.

Where it goes

The website runs on a Hetzner server in Helsinki, Finland — inside the EU.

Your enquiry is delivered by email to a Gmail address and passes through Google's mail servers on the way. This site's outgoing mail relays through a private Gmail account; the reply address is set to your own, so we can write back to you directly.

Besides the duo, the site's regular maintainer has access to the server and the log files, for upkeep.

We do not sell your details and we share them with no one else.

How long we keep it

The server logs of ordinary visits are deleted automatically after fourteen days.

The form's log file, holding email addresses and IP addresses, is deleted automatically after about ninety days.

Emails about a booking are kept as long as the enquiry and the related administration require. If you would like a message deleted sooner, just email us.

Cookies and measurement

This site sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device and uses no trackers. The photos, the videos, the audio excerpt and the typefaces all come from our own server, so an ordinary visit sends no request to any other company.

Once a day we turn the server logs into a summary of how many visits came in and which pages were read most. IP addresses are shortened for it, so the summary cannot be traced back to individuals. It stays on our own server and goes to no one else.

The two YouTube videos on the home page load only after you click them, and then through youtube-nocookie.com. Until that moment no request reaches Google at all. Once you do click, YouTube's own terms apply.

Your rights

You may see your data, have it corrected, have it deleted or have its use restricted. You may object to its use, and you may ask to receive it in a common file format. One email to terraluz.music@gmail.com is enough.

If we cannot resolve it together, you may complain to the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
